АКАДЕМІЧНИЙ ШЛЯХ СТУДЕНТІВ, ЯКІ ВИВЧАЮТЬ ПІДПРИЄМНИЦТВО У ЗАКЛАДАХ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ. ПІДХІД ТЕОРІЇ СИСТЕМ

У своїй п’ятій доповіді, яка була опублікована 31 березня 2020 року, Департамент вищої освіти та підготовки Південної Африки (DHET) закликав установи ретельно досліджувати бізнес-освіту (освітні програми, навчальні плани) після того, як категорія досліджень бізнесу, економіки та менеджменту (у Класифікації навчальних предметів (CESM)) показала найвищий рівень відрахування та найнижчий рівень пропускної здатності студентів. Підприємницька освіта вважається процесом навчання протягом усього життя, який складається з п’яти етапів: основи, усвідомлення компетенцій, творче застосування, початковий етап та зростання. Після закінчення апартеїду багато дослідників зосередилися на освіті у ЗВО, приділяючи особливу увагу економічно маргіналізованим громадам. Щоб зрозуміти академічний шлях студентів, які вивчають підприємництво, авторами дослідження було здійснено ґрунтовний огляд літератури крізь призму загальної теорії систем у поєднанні із Тристоронньою моделлю мотивації досягнення Такмана (1999). Відповідно до цього, у дослідженні розглядається академічний шлях студентів як динамічна система, у якій студенти мають певні характеристики та мотивації (вхідні дані) під час вступу до вищої освіти, і що заклади вищої освіти мають робити (процеси), щоб досягти покращення академічної успішності (результату) студентів. З огляду на джерельну базу дослідження, це дослідження свідчить про необхідність профілювання студентів на основі їх інформації перед зарахуванням та фіксації уявлень про те, що, на їхню думку, вплинуло на їхню академічну успішність у середній школі. Окрім того, у статті було запропоновано необхідність розуміння підприємницького профілю студентів з огляду на важливість підприємництва у створенні робочих місць, особливо у Південній Африці, з рівнем безробіття 32,6%. Автори дослідження роблять висновки про необхідність випускати студентів з такими необхідними підприємницькими можливостями для економіки Південної Африки. Оскільки підприємництво має вирішальне значення для вирішення національних проблем, слід заохочувати дослідження, зосереджені на підвищенні пропускної здатності студентів, які вивчають підприємництво.
